Server doesn't send alert mail when reload fails

I have two reload task on a Qlikview server (without publisher) failed.

For first task I received the alert email

For second I didn't receive any alert mail

Why?

Don't know. Bug in QDS? Refuses to send email when task fails with General Script Error? (I don't like those errors either )

Did the first task fail with a General Script Error as well?

I would suggest to contact Qlik Support as your description borders on the mysterious and you will have more luck with the magicians up north. But please do keep us posted.

I'm having a similar issue.

I can send test emails without a problem from the System->Setup->Mail Server screen, so I know my mail configuration is ok.

I've tested the email addresses in the System->Setup->QlikView Servers->Alerts screen.

I'm just not getting emails when Reloads fail.

Any pointers would be appreciated.

I'm running QVS 11.20.12235 x64 with no Publisher.

Check so you don´t have email adress in both "Send all emails to" in the Mail server config window, and also have recipients in the Alert Mail tab under Distribution Service.

If so, remove mail adress from "Send all emails to" and save.

Also, if the task was configured before you configured mail server, go into the task again and re-save it.

Removes then re-added the reload task and the email came through.

We have the same issue. I have tried the suggestion from ako that seems to work for others, but it doesn't correct the issue for us.

We are running publisher with qds version 11.20.11643.0, and qvs 11.20.11716.0. Any ideas?
