      <title>Provider Type does not match registered value error while opening Qlikview Desktop</title>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Whenever I am trying to open any document in Qlikview Desktop, I am getting an alert box with an error message &lt;SPAN style="color: #575757;"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;'Provider type does not match registered value'&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt; (pop up message twice) and when I click on OK to close this alert box the Document opens successfully.&amp;nbsp; This happened after the Server restart.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;And due to this error Qlikview Publisher is now unable to reload the applications as reloads starts on time but not get executed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Does anybody have any idea about this issue.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Kindly help.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks &amp;amp; Regards&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Apurva&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi Apurva,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I wouldn't think you need to do that. Be careful on the registry cleaning and start with HKCU and not the HKLM. It would be a good idea to backup the registry first.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Bill&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi Bill,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P style="color: #000000; font-family: Tahoma; background-color: #eeeeee;"&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 10pt;"&gt;Following are the steps followed:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL style="margin-top: 14pt; margin-bottom: 14pt;"&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Backup of &lt;SPAN style="background-color: white; font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;C:\ProgramData\QlikTech&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt; folder.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Uninstall Qlikview Desktop 11.20 SR5 &amp;amp; Qlikview Server 11.20 SR5.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Deletion of Registry from HKEY_CURRENT_USER then HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Re-installation of Qlikview Desktop 11.20 SR5, but still error message 'Provider type does not matched registered value' came, then uninstalled this version.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Tried re-installation of Qlikview Desktop 11.20 SR3 also, but again the same error message pop up.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Uninstalled Qlikview Desktop 11.20 SR3 and Re-installation of Qlikview Desktop 11.20 SR5 &amp;amp; Qlikview Server 11.20 SR5 done.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG style="color: #000000; font-family: Tahoma; background-color: #eeeeee;"&gt;However Publisher is still unable to execute the reloads and Qlikview Desktop is still showing the error message.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG style="color: #000000; font-family: Tahoma; background-color: #eeeeee;"&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Apurva&lt;STRONG style="color: #000000; font-family: Tahoma; background-color: #eeeeee;"&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Dear All,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;One issue has been resolved.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There are two different issues i am facing:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Automatic Reloads not getting executed by Publisher&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Qlikview Desktop is showing 'Provider type does not match registered value' error message before opening any document.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;P&gt;......................................................................................................&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Issue 1. has been resolved by Creating a new service account with administrator rights and assign Distribution Service(QDS) under this new service account and then restarting this service.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Now all the automatic reloads are able to get executed with this new service account for QDS and the other services(DSC, QMS,QVS, QVWS) are still running under the old service account.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Issue 2. has not been resolved yet.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any help for Issue 2 will be appreciated.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Apurva&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

That means the problem is with the old service account, something got corrupted.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, 'Lucida Grande', sans-serif; color: #3d3d3d;"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, 'Lucida Grande', sans-serif; color: #3d3d3d;"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;So the solution is to use the New Service account and discard the old.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, 'Lucida Grande', sans-serif; color: #3d3d3d;"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, 'Lucida Grande', sans-serif; color: #3d3d3d;"&gt;Apurva&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
