The webserver talks to QVS on port 4747 so if the services are not on the same machine, need to make sure port 4747 is open between the two machines.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Bill&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <title>QV WebServer not starting</title>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am having problem in starting the QlikView Webserver service. I am getting the following error box:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;'The QlikView Webserver service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs.'&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I tried a fresh re-installation but still the same error occurs.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In the Event log I get the following error:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL style="list-style-type: upper-alpha;"&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: 'Segoe UI','sans-serif';"&gt;System.Exception: Failed to retrieve document list from the specified QVS&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: 'Segoe UI','sans-serif';"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; at QMSBackendCore.Service.ServiceImpl.GetUserDocumentList(Guid qvsID)&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: 'Segoe UI','sans-serif';"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; at QMSBackendCore.Service.ServiceImpl.Diagnostics.CacheDocumentAvailable()&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Can you tell me how I can fix this please?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi guys,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks for your quick reply!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;After restarting the server I did not have internet access due to a change in a system variable. After running a command line provided by the company hosting our server, the service started successfully.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks again for your replies.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Michael&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
