How many tasks could be created in Publisher?

Hi All,

As a best practice, could someone explain how many active and running tasks could be created in a Publisher?

As of now, my configuration is :

Processor: 2.2 GHz (2 processors)

RAM: 96 GB

OS: 64 Bit

Default: 4 I think (check the QMC parameter)

Max: Number of cores - 1

Other tasks will queue until a qvb process becomes available.

It depends on how many cores you have.

As Peter Cammaert says the recommended maximum is (Total Cores -1)

You can set the number of distribution tasks on the Publisher QMC here

Hi,

If you set the QlikView Engines to more than 10 you will have to change the Desktop Heap setting. Also, there is not magic value for the setting, you might have to increase it a couple of times to get it right.
