Task execution still running - server went down

Hi Floks, I am facing very wired situation on one qlikview report.

Recently, I did change the expression values on the layout and I ran the qlikview file on my local desktop client and all should be fine. The size of qvw file is around 205MB. But I am trying to test the reload task on the QA server, the task still executed and its never ending after some time later the server went down. I check the .qvw logfile on the server and shown as execution was finished. but the source or user documents didn't change to new version. I observed the the CPU usage is 90-100% and Memory usage as maximum on the task manager. I believe its distribution service problem.

The interesting thing is, I rollback all the expression changes into previous version and there is no problem on the server.

Please help me how to avoid this type scenario's and where is the problem exactly ?

I encountered something similar last week.

An application didn't publish, altough the task failed in our case.

It was a problem with the database and every expression failed to recalculate. I saw this when I reloaded the app maually.

Try reloading your app in Developer and after that press Clear all selection.

My application reloaded successfully on the Desktop client and my data sources are QVD's.

I had this problem only on server (while reload on publisher) only.

I tested the reload task with out distribution and it ran successfully. But I create the task for both reload & distribute , the task got failed. How can I debug the distribution task ?

Are you running any anti virus software on your server?

If so make an exception on the catalogue C:\ProgramData\QlikTech

Try the following.

rename QlikView Distribution folder, under %appdata%

restart QDS.

In my case, I solved it !!!, starting qv distribution services with an user with administrative privileges on the server, not on the domain.
