content load failing QDSMain.Exceptions.FailedDocumentCheckoutException

Hi all,

I’ve been having an issue where content fails to load. I’ve explored fixes in other threads and had no success.

Based on the error it seems to be a permissions issue. The error is as follows:

QDSMain.Exceptions.FailedDocumentCheckoutException: Failed to check out document with path:<my path>\<report>.qvw

I looked everyplace I could find that required a username and password and put my Qlikview user in as a machine administrator, owner of the content folder with full control. Etc. No Luck.

in the Qlikview management console under the user tab, I found the ability to search for my Qlikview user. Doing so told me that while the runtime user was a member of the Qlikview administrators group, and the machine admin group but there was a group called ‘Qlikview Document administrators' that it was not a member of.

That group did not exist on my machine so I created it and added the Qlikview user. It still does not showup as a member of that group in the management console.

Is this group manageable from somewhere else?

What permissions do I need to give the runtime user to get the content to load?
