Upgrading QV Server 11 to Qv Server 11 SR2

Is there any process needed to be followed to upgrade QV Server 11 to QV Server 11 SR2 in the same server system?

Hi Selva,

When upgrading in the same version to a higher or more recent services release, you usually just need to run the install files and do the update. Check before anything the release notes that come with each version to verify bugs that have been fixed and known issues that might persist, or new functionalities that might have been added.

In this case you only need to run the installer, the reboot the computer.

As with any procedure in the server, do always backup the C:\ProgramData\QlikTech file where all settings and configurations are stored, just in case you need to roll back.

Hi Selva,

Nope, you do not need it, unless something goes wrong, that is not usual, because license is stored in the QlikTech folder that will be there after the upgrade.

The most notorious feature introduced in SR2 is the Offline Service, that allows you to download files to your iPhone or iPad using the QlikView iOS App available in iTunes. This service is a separate download that does not come included in the Server installer package and it's freely available to existing QlikView customers.
