Google maps need a key?

Hi there,

since a will, we were using google maps API (without a gmap_key) to show maps in our apps, but since 2 days ago the maps are not showed anymore. If I use a key the map is now showed, so I'm wondering if someone else is having this "change" or issue regarding the API.

This is happening in our servers (Prod and Dev) and in my own computer.

Not required I have gone through same problem , Please check Internet Connectivity is avail in production server

also check this setting add google map site in your server intertnet.

Are you running Qlikview 9 ...It looks like there is a problem with Google Maps using the Key and this version. I upgraded to 11 and the maps are back.

Hi adumd,

I had the same problem with the google api and I solved it changing the URL, including the sensor parameter and removing the key parameter .

The key parameter is not required. See the attached file.

Thanks!! but is not working in my case. I opened your file and saw the map, but as soon as I try to change the zoom or the type or anything else, I got the attached image.

Hi adumd,

According to Google Api this image means you've exceed the limit of 25000 free static map request per day per application.

Please Tell me whether You are using Dynamic image if you have map for your country you can show static by following setting

Select Chart Properties - > Colours -> Image -> Select Image your country

Using this you dont' require internet if this is fesible for you you can try this.

If Firewall is implemented in your server we are getting such types problem So I Prefered Static image setting given in earlier post.

Hi, i have an application wich i can see it through the internet. So, if someone wants to see, they have to login, and see it. Then they will see the qlikview online page, and access the application with the map. It's all free, non paid, and it's only for information.

Do I have to pay something for that??? Is that necessary to get a business API???

I use image dynamic, but don´t see my map in QVW in the Access Point.

In my QlikView Desktop, i see, working fine.

Somebody have a problem with that?

Yes, if put the url use in dynamic image in the browser, the map is show-me.

If you open the qvw on the server, the maps are shown?

Yes, if open the qvw in QlikView Desktop in Server, is show me, but if use in browser don´t show me.

Don´t try using user of the service, because don´t know the password. But, is possible is security rules?

Yes, If your network have rules for specific users, i,e. the administrator account doesn't have access to internet or needs a proxy to connect, may be it's your problem.

After modify many times, i can see map for browser.

I suspect the size map, because, change for 600x600, and nothing filter in customers, the map show me.

And using size 400x400 and nothing filter in customers, don´t see. But, if select some customers, the map is show me.
