BUG: Clear button does not work properly

Hi,

Following recent upgrade to QV11SR2, If user hits the 'clear selection' button in the toolbar, QV will properly clear all selection, but consequntly revert to selection in the last sent/received bookmark.

Please advise,

15-1-2013: I've conducted few more tests, but could not reproduce this issue. Please consider this issue as closed.

It's possible in QlikView to redefine the clear state (Selections > set clear state) so it might be the case that the application developer did that.

What this means I can have certain selections pick and set my "Clear State" so that when someone hits clear it does back to these selections. If you open the document in developer and look and the Reset Cleat State is not grayed out there is a selection there.

Hi:

You can also lock fields and those won't be affected by the clear buttom.

At the same time, you can implement buttons with selection & locking actions as you need them.

Hi again.

Notice also that if you have a calculated dimension like:

aggr(only({$<Kind={'Lemon'}>} Candy),Candy), or something similar and you filter a Candy inside your object, Kind = Lemon will be automatically selected.

You are correct on both of these. I was thinking more of something someone set by accident.

Hi,

Let me be clear. I'm the developer of the qv app. At no point, have i left selections on when saving the document. Clear state was set to no selection. This behavior affects only part of the user. Namely, user which submitted bookmarks to other receipitents.
