Hi Everyone,

Since I've upgraded to Qv 11, I'm experiencing this issue :

26/11/2012 07:30:22 Error The sourcedocument failed to open.. Exception=System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80004005): Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component. at QlikView.Global.SetUserPreferences(IUserPreferences _Preferences) at QVBWrapper.Document.Load(ILogBucket i_LogBucket, Boolean withData)
26/11/2012 07:30:22 Error The document failed to open.
26/11/2012 07:30:23 Error Document could not be opened

Has anybody got experience of this error and how I could fix it.

Hi John,

Our issue seems to be related to Trend. We only experienced this when I updated to QV11, on the advice of support we took Trend off completely and hey presto - no failures.

We then put it partially on excluding live scanning of qvd and qvw files and some file directories and the problem re-occurred.

If you've got trend I think this might be the issue - support are aware and are working on a resolution.
