Installation Qlikview 11 on a new server

Hello,

Is it necessary to install on a new server Qlikview 11 initial release and next all the SR1,2,3,... or is it possible to install the last SR of Qlikview 11 (SR7)?

Hi Enovia,

You most definitly can install the last SR of Qlikview straight away.

There's no need to do incremental installs.

BTW, the last QlikView 11 SR is 1 and not 7.

If the development machine is the same as the qlikview server you can install QlikView Desktop.

The development machine is different than the server machine.
Is it the QlikView Desktop SR1 I install?

And it's not necessary to install the plugin for IE with the version 11?

Is Qlikview 11 runs with Mozilla's Navigator?

Yes, it’s the QlikView Desktop SR1 install.

If you’re going to use the plugin (it’s available only to IE) you need to install it.

Mozilla can access qlikview by AJAX.

You can inform better yourself by reading the docs ☺

But It's not me who install the version 8 of qlikview in the server and the person get away and it's difficult for me to understand all.

There are many docs for few samples questions and it's more easier to tell you than lost one day to confirm my thoughts.

Can you answer me at the next questions and I stop to disturb you?
Where download the pluggin for IE ? Is it the same of version 8?

What is the party named Connector in the "Download"? I think in the version 8 the connector is included in the install of the version 8 of Qlikview?

The plugin has to be installed on each client. If the plugin is not offered to be installed on visit you can enable the Download link in the server settings (it is bundled).

Each QlikView build has a new plugin version.

I don’t know what connector you’re talking about, SAP or other?
