Hi,

Is there a way to preload a document on a specific cluster node? I'm using QlikView Server 10 SR4

You will need to use IE and make a QVP call straight to the server you want it loaded on. Then the cluster will see it they and assign users to that node.

His would open Finace Controlling.qvw on the server qv10. The Bat file would look something like this:

If that is 2 qvp cluster under qvs@qv10 How can you tell which qvp to preload the document?

yes, You can preload document in some cluster node

In your QMC:

Documents
User Documents
Select your document
Server tab
Performance tab
Document Control
Select Customize
Choose the Cluster node
Set oprion Preload in Cluster node

Hi Alex

Does this mean if you have 2 nodes of QVS, you can assigned big application to pre-load on one of the server and direct traffic to that node for that particular dashboard if request on webserver.

how do you configure this:

so lets say you have 3 QVS server accessing same SAN. How can you direct traffic to open each dashboard on specific QVS node.

You can do it during the distribution of the document. See below. I don't have a cluster setup in front of me, but at the bottom you would see the three servers and not just one in my picture. You would check preload and then in the Document available box what you want it to do.

The webserver is aware as to what is running on each server.

But i heard today that if user is using IE plugin it bypasses Webserver, if that's the case then doesn it mean it by passes load balance and at the same time these settings which shows where a particular dashboard is pinned.

Hi,

It will try to load the document on the server that the accesspoint is looking at. To have it to only load on one, you will need to set the other server option to "Never".
