Memory Utlization - Distribution Services

Hi,

Below is a test scenario.

2 Server - Server A and Server B

Publisher and Distribution Services are on Server A. Now if we add a source folder under Distribution Services pointing to Server B.

When we run the Server B refresh job via the Publisher on Server A, RAM/Memory will be utilized from which server ? (Server A or Server B)

If we want to utilize the memory of Server B and run the jobs from Server A, how can I do that ?

Help is appreciated.

Can you identify why you want to do this?

You can't schedule a job on Server A using the CPU and RAM of Server B.

If you don't want to avoid purchasing multiple Publisher licenses, you can use the basic scheduling functionality available in QVS on Server B and only use Publisher for complex reload and distribution tasks on Server A.

Publisher Installed on Sever A.

Distribution Services set on Server B.

Now which servers RAM/Memory will be utilized.
