Hi,

I have Qlikview Server 10 with IIS as a web server and I can't get the Custom user to log in to Accesspoint.

I've set the following:

- IIS with only WindowsAuthentication enabled

In QEMC:

- DMS authorization

- Configured the web server

- Create a new Custom Directory in Directory Service Connectors

- Created a Custom user

- and finally added the Custom user to the Document.

I even tried to change the settings on the Webserver->Authentication page but no success.

Has anyone managed to use Accesspoint with Custom Users and IIS?

What am I missing?

You probably need to set up access in IIS to anonymous as custom users are only visible by QlikView.

Hi Daniel,

Just had a go with IIS Authentication anonymous enabled but no luck.

Furthermore, I'm not sure what settings to use on the Authentication tab of the Webserver.

It would be nice to get some input from someone who has achieved this.

Try to be a little more specific please, what do you mean with no luck?

Set IIS anonymous authentication and enter a user that is a server admin so we can leave ntfs permissions issues for later.

Do you then get to the login page?

I mean that I couldn't get past the browser authentication.

What do you mean by "enter a user that is a server admin"? Where do I do this?

On QEMC, what option should I have on Qlikview Servers->Security->Authentication->Clients ?

If you can't get through the browser authorization then the problem still lies with the webserver config.

In IIS, when you set a folder to authenticate as anonymous you have to put a username/password, as default you get IIS anonymous user IUSR, you should try changing that user to a server admin.

So set your qlikview virtual folder to user anonymous and disable windows authentication.

Ok, got that. Now it goes straight to Accesspoint as "Anonymous" and there no documents.

If I then press login, it prompts for credentials. I tried with the server admin, the customuser and even CUSTOM\customuser and it always fails to log in.

I think you have your users configured in the wrong tab, is that possible?

Check this image to see if you have them like this.

Not sure, maybe your custom users are disabled or you're entering the wrong password?

Daniel you were close regarding the IIS authentication but the AccessPointSettings.aspx needs to be set with Anonymous DISABLED and Windows Authentication ENABLED.

Qlikview Support came back with the solution attached in the word doc.
