Is there a limit on the number of documents that can be scheduled to reload from the EMC in QV 9? I have scheduled 16 qvw's for scheduled refresh but only 5 show up on the Status tab. 14 of the 16 were scheduled to refresh at the same time and only the 5 that I see on the Status/Tasks screen were reloaded. Thanks...

There is also a Max Concurrent Reloads setting on the QlikView Server Settings > Performance page. If you are going to be running 16 reloads at once you will need to set that to at least 16. The default is 2.

I'd recommend watching the memory usage on your server at least once while all of your reloads are running to see that you aren't overloading the server.

The most that I can configure that setting to is 6. Anything higher randomly causes Microsoft .COM exceptions.

B

When do you get the exceptions? I've not set that to more than 4 before, but I've just changed it to 16 and manually reloaded 7 models concurrently, without any issues. Maybe it depends on the server resources available.

I'm continuing to test this and here's the next issue: I set 12 document reloads all for the same start time, I have the Max Concurrent Reloads set to 16. Only 2 of the reports reloaded and the other reports didn't reload but their Scheduled times changed to tomorrow at the same time that I scheduled it for today.

Also, do you know why it is, and can this be fixed: Any time I make a change to a document i.e., change the schdule time or even assigning a cal for a new employee, I need to go to System, QV servers, General, Apply, in order to see my scheduled reports on the Status tab. This applies to any changes I make to either scheduled reload reports or reports not set up for reload.
