Hello there

I seem to get differences depending on whether I log into a qvw from the web (url) or if I am logged into the server.

1. From being logged into the server I go into accesspoint & select the report (from http://servername/QlikView/index.htm).

2. From the web, again I go into accesspoint & select the report (from http://servername/QlikView/index.htm).

1. is fine and how I would expect things to be. I can add/remove bookmarks, and the layout is as I designed it.

2. My main problem here is that I cannot add or remove a bookmark. (Less importantly - layout, background is different, list boxes with rounded corners are square, object lining up is a bit random!)

Have I missed something in the set up? or is it permissions? or something else?!

hi,

I think you are viewing the application in Ajax mode.Check out your URL (once you open the application). It might be client = ajax; (at end of the URL).

You need to install IE plugin and view it in IE plugin,

you willl find the plugin setup in Qlikview server system C:\Program Files\Qlikview\Server\Client\.. .... QvPluginsetup.exe.

Or you need to enable the link at access point so that it can be easily downloaded from user system

Go to Qlikview Enterprise managemnt console... 3 tab --- webserver-- Accesspoint--> down there will show plugin link. enable it. YOu will be able to a Download plugin label at Accepoint.

Hi Deepak,

Thanks for the reply, I enabled ie plugin & installed it on the server. I can open it from the server and client=plugin.

But - from the web (not logged into the server) the ie plugin selection is greyed out and unselected.

Is there anything else I need to do?

hi,

You need to install in all the machine where you goan access throgh web.

Go to Enterprise management console and enable the link so that you can easily download the file.
