I am trying to develop a simple html page with some javascript code. The javacript would be used to detect whether the client already installed QlikView plug-in on their desktop or not. If the page detects user doesn't install it,then the user would be redirected to another web page which instruct the user to install QlikView plug-in.Otherwise, the user just be forwarded to the page he wants to access.

Here is my question:

Is it possible to use the JavaScript to detect QlikView plug-in in IE ? Is this plug-in Active X control ? What's the progID for the plug-in ?
