IE hangs when closing QV application

Hi,

We have QlikView application hosted on web server at one of our client's site. However one of the user is reporting an issue while closing the QVApplication, When he closes the browser window (IE 7.0) , it just seems to hang for about minute or two before closing down browser and he can not do anything else during that time on his pc.

Has anybody experience similar issue in the past? Please let me know if you have and what was the solution to overcome this issue.

All suggestions are welcome.

I can confirm that this behavior happens on some computers, but I have never been able to find a trend or a setting that is to blame. It's hard to reproduce, so it's hard to report to Support...

Disable the Adobe PDF Link Helper in Add-ins in IE. It somehow fights with the Qlikview Plugin during application shutdown.

Thanks for your suggestion. I am not sure if the PDF addin exists on client machine but will check and if it exists then will try your suggested solution.

It was indeed the PDF Link Helper Add-in that was causing this issue. Removing it has resolved this issue. Thanks for your help.
