After QV 9 upgrade – bookmarks lost

I recently upgraded from QV 8.5 to 9.0 SR3 and have been receiving complaints from my users that they have lost their server-side bookmarks. Does anyone know where on the server bookmarks are stored? I'm wondering if it's just a matter of restoring some files from my backups.

After further investigation I did NOT lose server-side bookmarks as previously thought. I would still be curious where they are stored - are they kept in the repository?

Server-side bookmarks are stored in the .SHARED file that is in the same directory as your QVW (the AccessPoint directory) and has the same name.
