topic Passing Arguments to Script at Runtime in QlikView

I'm curious if there is a way to pass in arguments to a Qlikview script at runtime directly from the QMC server management page. I noticed the 'Attribute' section under Document Information in the QMC settings, but couldn't find any information about what the attributes are or what they can be used for. If I can indeed use these attributes to pass arguments to the Qlikview script at runtime, how would I do that? If not, what could the attributes section be used for? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

You may enter a name and value for meta data attributes that can later be read from the database. These attributes are not saved in the document,
but in the meta file. Then, you can read these attributes and their values from database when accessing QV Web services, I believe, or when you create your own monitoring tool in .NE, for example. Too bad that the are not stored in the document properties itself. I also thought, you may be able to use them for some runtime executions or atleast to sort list on the access point based on these, somehow.

I would like to see more suggestions what else they can be used for.

Rakesh
