I"ve noticed there's a field called "Link Machine Name" on the General tab of Server Settings in QEMC. Can anyone tell me what this does? I've searched the QVS Reference Manual and the internet with no results...

Thanks for your reply, Peter. I've actually discovered that this field is used for the FQ Computer Name when exposing a server to the Internet. This supposedly helps to resolve the name (although that should really be handled by DNS). Mystery solved!

Hi Guys,

I had these problems written in this post

and our Local Qlikview Support got involved and changed this external Linking to Servername as in the diagram below and thinking to change the Servername, IP and domainname conflict. In the above Post, I did not explain that external Linking is done.. but somehow by this change the Server worked at that time.

But still the Server is once in a while down. I am trying to find the problem..
