Problem when accessing Online XML files

Hey all,

we are having a daily load Job with the following Content:

Opening XML File from http://www.ecb.europa.eu/stats/eurofxref/eurofxref-daily.xml
Storing Content to QVD

After the Upgrade from 12.00 SR4 to November 2018 IR the Job won't work any more. For the Client Version we found that since November 2017 release a Parameter can be used to force Qlikview to use Win Settings for Internet Connections:

WebFileUseWinAPI = 1 (to be adjusted in Settings.ini)

Unfortunately this doesn't work for Tasks reloaded by the Distribution Service - is there a known Limitation? Any Workaround modifying config files?

Did you try that setting for QV server. The settings.ini will be somewhere under ProgramData\Qlik (dont have access to QV server right now).

Hey.

Have a look at the Qlik Support article "QlikView 12 cannot load data from web file" and note that for the QlikView Server/Publisher side the entry for the Settings.ini file needs to be performed in multiple spots.

For QlikView server it is in %ProgramData%\QlikTech\QlikViewServer On the machine where QMC is installed.

You must change the setting also for the QDS service and the QlikView Batch. The .ini files are saved in
%appdata%\QlikTech\QlikViewBatch
C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\QlikTech\QlikViewBatch
on the machine where this service is installed.
