Upgrading to QV v12 and move to separate server

Hi,

We are about to upgrade to Version 12. At the moment we have all our reloads and dev work carried out on the same VM.

What we would like to do is move the QVS and reloads/schedules onto a new server therefore keeping one server with QV Desktop on it for development work and a dedicated server for reloads.

Is there a simple way to move the reload schedules over to the new server rather than recreate everything?

Why not simply install QV Desktop on another machine instead?

HI Phil,

If the QV Servers are the same build version and the underlying file structures are identical on each server, then you can use QlikView Remote Management Services - https://qliksupport.force.com/articles/000003607.

Another method would be to copy the QVPR of the existing environment to the new environment and then make the necessary edits to the XML files. See the online Qlik Help Migrate and restore your QlikView Server backup.
