QV v11.20: Using Active Directory groups in Authorized to View

We currently authorize users to view QV applications by individual name and/or AD group. This is done in QMC > Documents > Source Documents > Distribute > Manually. They are selected in the Distribute to Qlikview Server field.

Edit: The users are selected in QMC > Documents > User Documents > Authorization > Users Authorized to Access Document.

I haven't tested thoroughly, but my observations so far point toward AD groups either not being recognized or refreshed. Individual users work fine. Of course, I could be barking up the wrong tree. I don't have access to see what feeds the Recipient list and its settings.

This thread seems to indicate that Access Point doesn't recognize AD groups. Can anyone confirm it?

I guess to make it simple, can Active Directory groups be used to give user's authorization to view QV applications? Or does authorization have to be given to each individual?
