Selective Access for Named Cal

Hi ,

We are upgrading to Enterprise edition of qlikview server from SBE .

Now we have all the CALs as Named CALS. but we need to restrict the Access on the Dashboard .

My documents are all in root folder.

Please anyone can guide me how to restrict the access . I went through different post but couldn't find anyting concrete.

Help would be appreciated .

have you try with section access.

Hi,

You can restrict the Dashboard access to users like below

QMC -> Documents -> User Documents -> Select QVW file -> Authorization -> Click + icon ->

Now select User Type as Named Users.

Now click the Users icon and add the list of users require access for the Dashboard.

Hi jagan ,

I read the post regarding this . However I don't get authorization tab .

Is sit because I don't have publisher licence.

We already have section access which restricting the data as per user.

These are live dashboard. the only difference is we have converted all licenses to named Cal.

We don't want user to see all Dashboard in access point. . We want the access to only one or two.

Please find below settings under the Document Properties.

For each application which is having section access, this setting should be enable.

Yes the user can access all the document .

However section access restrict the data .

My requirement is a Sales person should not be able to access finance Dashboard . he doesn't see it in access point .

We have first login through Active directory

HI,

Which authorization you are using? Is it DMS or Windows? Is you are using Windows then you have to give access to the Qlikview file in the folder.

QMC -> System -> Setup -> select Qlikview Server -> Security -> Authorization

Hello Jagan Mohan,

I have similar question, I have to distribute my qvw to only 2-3 people via QMC, I have set the user type as Named User in Source document, but then the setting get reset when the reload happens. I get to knopw from your post that I have to make this settign in User docs. But then should I make same setting in Source document also or just User docs will suffice?

Its quite urgent could you please help me in it?
