License Leasing Query

Hi All,

We are using Qlikview 11.2 SR8.

We are having following issue while trying to lease a license from Desktop Client.

If we try to Lease License in desktop (File-->Open In server--> and entering qvp://userid@ipadress) we are getting attached error.

However,at First ,If I login to access point in the desktop client and then if I do the License Lease as shown in the above step, I can able to lease license.

So , why I cannot lease license before ????? and How I can able to lease License succussfully after opening Access Point in Desktop.

Please help me to understand the issue.

Hi,

Once connect to your domain on which your qlikview server has hosted and try to connect with your credentials.

Hi Chinna,

try to add port numeber :4747 to the qvp address.

The screenshot you posted usually points to a firewall blocking port 4747. As long as your QVS platform blocks port 4747, there won't be any leasing of licenses (license leasing doesn't take the tunnelling route)

Hi Peter and Simone,

But I still can able to lease license to the desktop(without adding 4747 in QVP)..Only thing I have to login to access Point
in desktop before leasing license.

I feel strange,how I Can lease after?? and How I can't before login to access Point in desktop?

One more thing: If I Add 4747 in QVP address, will there be any impact for any other configuration settings..As I haven't seen in my previous servers.

Is Allow license leasing is Ticked on your management console .Please check .

Hi Harish,

It was there..and was able to lease license. Only issue is I can do the licese lease only after logging into access point in desktop using the same id.
