Server Migration

I am new into server migration and am eager to know its flow of how the process actually works.

At the moment am reading QV Server Reference Manual, but am not able to get the exact flow of its working.

It would be of great help if anyone could guide me on the same.

Hi,

Steps of server migration-> WITHOUT UNINSTALL (If you are updating SR)

1- Take backup->Qliktech folder from C:\Program Data\Qliktech or where you installed it (for 64bit).

2->Run Qlikview Server setup and install, then restart physical server.

3-> First chance All settings will come automatically if not

then restore data from backup folder.

IF you are updating QV10 to QV11

1- Take backup of Qliktech folder.

2-uninstall qlikview server from control pannel.

3-restart your physical computer.

4- Install new setup(latest version)

5-restart services if any problem will face then again restart physical computer.

6-chances -your all settings will come automatically if not restore from backup

Hi Yuvraj,

After Migration Testing of application Required because some function format might be change in new release.

Migrate same scenario in Test Server then move it into Production.
