Hi all!

I have the QV Small Business server on premise in the USA.

I need to pull data from other databases that reside in other countries.

I can ODBC connect into their servers but the data pulls too slowly. It takes me 4.5 hours to pull this one table but they can pull this same table in 3 minutes.

What is the best solution where I can schedule to run their data from my local QV Small Business server but the load is actually executed on their side, and then the final QVW gets updated on my local QV server for publishing?

Thanks!

... you could install qlik on the remote db server, extract data and store it in a qvd then (via FTP?) obtain the qvd and load it in your document ....

only an idea ...

Do you try to load / fetch the whole table?

And are you fetching incremently?

A lot of customers where I work for have stores in different countries and all that data I load through remote connection. But I only need a few columns per table nad where it is possible I perform an incremental load.

These are all good suggestions for getting the data to my server. But is there a way I can schedule their QVW generator to load from my QV SB server? Or are they stuck manually reloading their own QVDs?

Yes, I can incrementally load but that is still to slow, I was looking for other options if this process was still to slow.

You can use batch file and schedule that batch in the Windows Schedular

Thanks everyone. I'll have the countries create a csv file (so they will be doing the full and incremental loads themselves via SSIS) of the data and store the data in a shared folder sitting on my QV server.
