Managment Console license Assignment

Hi All,

Is it possible to able a user to assign license in Manangement console but other feature disabled ? that mean this user allow to perform license assignment only or Can I amend Managment Console web interface ? Thanks

This is not possible.

You cannot restrict users like that.

Hi Ashfaq,

Appreciate, If you could advise how to remove automatically unused license in QlikView server.

Let me provide more background information. Our environment is used named user license (No other type of license) and running on QlikView server V10. Our support required to manaul assign license each time when user move in or out. So, I'm looking for any solution. I checked QlikView server support auto CAL assignment in QMC but it seems cannot remove unused user license.

Hi Cavin,

Sorry, but this is a manual procedure when managing Document CALs. After removing a document CAL from a user, it will be available to be assigned to other user, after a quarantine period of 24 hours.

Only Session CALs releases CAL automatic after every 15 minutes of inactivity.

Thank you for your reply, after checked several post. It seems we can write a program to remove unused license after a period. Let said, 7 days. Do you know where can I find document ?
