Hi,

I have a question regarding Windows User Group Security.

I have a Windows User Group in which 10 Users are present.

And i have deployed my Qlikview Application on QMC.

no security is provided till now . But I want to apply security thath only my user group members can see this document at access point no one other that this user group.

How can i do at QMC please help me its urjent.

Please tell me the steps for doing this.

Can be done in the reload task, tab Distribute.

In the bottom, select user type Named Users. Click on the icon to the right of it, and get the "Manage Users" dialog. Search for you group. When it appears in the search results, select it and click Add. OK. Apply.

I think you need Publisher license for this.

with ntfs authorization I suppose you only have to add the permissions to that group on the folder with the qlikview application

That's correct Massimo.

And, this is what "distribute to the named users" is doing, except it is on the file level rather than the folder level. So you can keep multiple apps with the different access in the same folder. User can see QV apps in the Access Point only if he has ntfs authorization.

how do you distribute your document?

do you have Qlikview Publisher with you?

Check the security properties of the distributed qvw file in the Documents folder. It should be available only to your Group.
If it is available for all, you've missed something.

If you have Enterprise Server, change the security settings to use "DMS".

In all documents will open the "Authorization". Use this to add your group of Windows.

How is configured the Qlikvew Web Server>Authentication, Qlikview Server>Security and Qlikview Access Point of an user?

Print screen.

It´s possible you are using anonymous access with session cal.

Note that upon installation of QlikView server, by default a Users group is added to the permssions of the Document Root. Maybe this group conflicts with your restriction attempts.

Often this group is inherited from the parent of the document root. On the other hand and if I'm not mistaken, this is a local Users group, not a domain group.
