I'm least knowledged about changing those kind of settings.

Can you guys help me to change the settings in detail!

Your help is very much appreciated.

Thanks in Advance!

Surendra

From a strict IT policy point; is it not better to look at a VPN solution for users working remotely instead of publicly exposing resources?

I would agree with Hampus, many customers use VPN, to provide secure access to QlikView remotely. This falls under the area of networking/security IT team - standard IT access provision for all external employee access. Specific ports are opened largely, depending on the configuration of QlikView (https communications etc, forward and reverse proxy scenarios). AccessPoint is access normally through port 80.

Thanks Steve

Basically you have to:

1) Create a sub-domain into your domain, example: qlikview.yourcompany.com (DNS administrator task)

2) Create some rules at your firewall routing requests from Internet to correct IP of your QlikView Server and enabling access to port 80 and 443 (if you use SSL). Maybe you´ll need NAT to do this. This step need your firewall/router administrator collaboration, because depends on your equipment.

Maybe your network administrator will require a DMZ to do step 2. Some reading about it: DMZ (computing) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
