Perhaps you wouldn't be able to restrict users to see access point using NTFS. But you can prohibit them to see the applications snapshots/lists by implementing windows security in the server folder that contain qv applications.

Authentication using NTFS?

Hi All,

I have my NTFS Authhorization applied in QMC, so that not to use DMS and not to add a specific set of users in Custom Users. So whoever logs in to Access Point using Windows ID, will be able to log in and access the QVWs.

Now my challenge is: I have a list of 180 users and those 180 users ONLY will be able to log in to Access Point (Authentication) and access the QVWs (Authorization). NO other resources apart from those 180, will be able to log in to Access Point.

How to achieve this? Just like adding the list of users in Custom Users and using DMS Authorization. But here I want to achive this in NTFS mode.

Please advice.

Regards!!!

I think the folder that contains the user document has been shared with everyone, limit it to 180 user list/group.

Hi Treseco,

Your suggestion was valuable. But in the first step itself, I wanted to restrict them from Access Point. Only 180 users will be able to log in to Access Point, no other members can.

I dont want other members can log in to access point but can't access apps.

Any other suggestions?
