Hi all,

Has any one encountered an error when trying to export a table as Excel document then send it by email where the filename for the attachement is QvsViewClient.aspx rather then the excel document? How can we ensure the right file is sent as attachement.

· From any chart export to excel

· It prompts a dialog box to open or save

· You select Open

· Try to send it by mail

If the exported file is first saved, renamed and sent it works.

Anyone with an answer get's today's two thumbs up!

G

I'm having the same issue myself. I would love an answer for this. I have found that if you save the Spreadsheet after you click open, you can then send it as an Excel file.

You will be pleased to know that I have figured this out. The client that you are using needs to be changed to the Internet Explorer plugin. This will actually send it straight into Excel as an XLS file. To change to the IE Plug-in, there is an option to edit your profile and change from "Full Browser Version" to "Internet Explorer Plugin".
