Hi all,

I have setup gmail smtp as server (qmec) (qlikview 10 )

https://smtp.gmail.com

port No 587

use ananymous or distribution account

also in system-> setup-> distribution services- alert email -> my gmail id

but on sending test mail its show sending mail failure.

i dont know why its not working.

Please help me to know the reason why its whoing error

Hi Sunil,

If you have gmail account then please select 'User name and password' under the option System->Setup->Mail Sever-> Authentication Method.

& provide your gmail account details there.

i already have tried gmail id and password also its not working

same error "Failure sending mail."

i think you should use Port: 465 (for ssl).

Or use port 25 just for testing.

Google supports SSL (25/465) and tls (25/587)

The reason this is failing is that we don't support secure connection. Attach is a document that should help you out.

Hi,

in you picture there is the port added to the webadress as well as to the port propertie.

I'm not quite sure if this is working well. just remove the port at the url: https://smtp.gmail.com

Yes, the version has changed after I wrote the paper. However, if you go to https://www.stunnel.org/

you will have the download link on the left side of the page.

then also it showing server is down after installation

and when i click on stunnel icon.

Not sure what help I can be to you. I have just tested it following the instructions that are in the document that I had attached with the new version. It works fine.

Hi Sunil,

Even I got the same message 'server is down'.

Please consult with Network Administrator.

If you are working on your local machine then use different internet connection & check whether Test Mail is going or not.

yes i am currentely working for testing on local machine.

But network connection is not a problem to me.

even test mail also not sending from qmec.

but when i open gmail and send mail to other gmail account is working.

is there any other way ???
