To increase performance I have been thinking to upgrade our server to a 64 bit and install the 64 bits version of QV Server 10.

What will happen if I create the documents in my 32 bits desktop with QV Desktop 32?

What will happen to clients using 32 bits desktops with QV Desktop 32 when running documents on the 64 bits server?

Will I get the advantages of running a 64 bit sever with this layout?

Thank you for your answers.

The format of the QVW file is compatible with both 32 and 64 bit versions, so it doesn't matter how you create the file. I'm using a similar set-up, as I would presume most shops are.

The QVW file is also compatible with older versions (7 -10), but newer components would not be available. So you could upgrade you server and developer clients independently.

The primary advantage of running a 64bit server version is increased performance and memory handling.

B
