    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;I think user preferences are stored locally, so my guess would be no.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You could still probably update the registry for those users with the desired value, just a guess though.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

The user preferences are client side settings and can be altered by the users at any point (assuming they can update values in the registry). Since v10 the user settings are stored in settings.ini files under the user folders, for example for standalone QV:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\QlikTech\QlikView&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
