RELOAD from Ajax Client

Good afternoon all,

We have installed Qlikview and made certain reports available to clients using the Ajax client.

I am trying to put a button into the reports that will allow the client to run a RELOAD of the data from the Ajax client.

I have spent some time looking around the blog, but cannot see where someone has said that this is 100% achievable (there are alot of blogs where it says the question is not answered ).

Does anyone have a conclusive answer to this question?

Hi,

As per my knowledge its not possible to reload the documents from the web client.

Reload can be done from qlikview client or from server.

Hi,

It's not possible to reload any QVW file using client-server connections (Desktop when "Open in Server", Plugin, AJAX, iOS App or Java Blackberry client, and so). You can either use the Console and click on the "Play" button, or open the file with the Desktop and click on Reload and then save (otherwise updated records won't be saved).

You can even use the QMS API to create a task users can trigger somehow.
