topic Application Level Access in QlikView

Application Level Access

Dear All,

I have question like how to give the access to users an application level?

For Example i have total 4 applications like

1)Application1

2)Application2

3)Application3

4)Application4

i need to give access "Application1" to "USER1" and "Application1/2/3/4" applications to the "USER2".

For your info we are using Qlikview Server version 9.00 SR5

Please help me.

In QEMC, Go to User document and set authorization to user according to requirement.

Dear Sunil,

I went through the QEMC of User Document Tab and i had selected the application which i have to give the access.

there i got right hand side three tabs like Server Settings,Document Information and Collabration Objects.

which tab we have the option to give the access

You are NTFC security setting.

Authorization tab is visible only in DMS Security setting.

Ya,we have NTFS Authorization (Windows controls file access) Security.

is it possible to give the access on application level in this security?

Hi Santosh,

Please go to the QEMC---->Documents------>Clik on the application ----->Go to the "Distribute"---->Click on "Manually"------>Click on the + button given in the right hand side-------> add the USER 1

and same will be repeted for the other USER2 for the remaining application.

I gone through the step by step upto +button, after clicking the +button under the Distribue to QlikView Server i am geeting three options

1)Server	2)Mount	3)User or Groups

can you pls help me how to create the users under this

Hi,

In the server option you can select your server and in R.H.S only you will find one icon of human you can click on that for giving the User Name.

Hi Ravi,

I have done the following steps to assign the application to the user.

1)Server option i have taken our server

2)Mount option i have taken User Documents

3)Users or Gorups option i had selected the user in the domain and clicked on the apply button.

let me know is it correct or wrong please...

HI Santosh,

Try the following option

1 Open QEMC

2 go to Documents and click on the specific doc

3 On RHS , u will find 5 tabs in that click on 4th tab(server objects)

4 in creators section click on restricted rado button

5 finally select the user whom u want to restrict from that application(qvw) files

sometime because of LEF mistake. you cannot use that types of functionalities so pls contact to partner or qliktech support they check lef and reply you accordingly.
