Bookmark sharing between two documents

Hello Folks,

We have 2 QVW's with same code but different dataset. We are trying to implement bookmarks now.

if a user creates a bookmark on QVW1, it has to appear on QVW2 as well. Could someone help me out how it can be done??

There's no way with built in functionality to do that. You have several problems. First, user bookmarks are specific to a single QVW, and they are stored in the .shared file. A user might not have access to both QVWs, which could cause a problem. Also, if the dataset is different between the two QVWs, the bookmarks in one might have selections in them that don't apply to the other QVW.

Hi Gary, Thanks for the quick turn around.

In our case, 2 QVW's will have same reference data but numbers differ.

we have our dashboard integrated with a web application. depends on some parameters, web application calls

either QVW1 or QVW2 (internally). for users, it's just one qlikview dashboard.
