      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hello everyone,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In an application, I have put an alert&amp;nbsp; which sends me an email after the reload is completed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It doesn't work anymore when I copy the application on my production server and when my application is reloaded from QMC.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What can I do ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any ideas ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

You have to setup the mail server first prior to creating all the task. If the tasks have been already created then go to each task and click "Apply." &lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

So I just select the qvw in QMC in Document Tab and then click on "Reload now".&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Might it be because this is another AD account who executes the reload in QMC ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have read in the qlikview reference manual : Alerts can only be created and triggered from Windows versions of QV (and so not from AJAX clients)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Does that mean it cannot work from QMC ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

I reload the application from QMC.&amp;nbsp; And then, only, when I opened the app with qlikview desktop (without reloading), I eventually receive the alert.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

Set the condition to 1=1, so that you can check mail works.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Next see that interactive is unselected and batch is selected&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;On post reload should be checked.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;A valid mail id.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;lastly a valid mail server should be configured on your QEMC.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please post if it works.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;thanks,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Rajesh Vaswani&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

I remembered I called Qlikview support. The couldn't tell me exactly what was the problem. But I wasn't using the last minor version so they advised me to upgrade. Plus, they aske me to check with the admin of my machine because it was probably due to my environnement and not to Qlikview itself.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I would advise you to check if running the batch with the QV account works and if so, contact the support.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please, let me know if you end up finding the solution &lt;IMG src="https://community.qlik.com/legacyfs/online/emoticons/happy.png" /&gt; &lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
