Ports, protocols to open in firewall for QV Server 10 or 11 ?

Hi,

for an installation of QV Server 10 (but migrated to 11 very soon), i need to define all ports which will be opened by firewall team.

Where can i find a list of all ports to open to use Qlikview and the Qlikview administration web ? (default installation with QV webserver)

Port 80 tcp

Port 4780 tpc ?

any other port ? any port in udp ?

Hi Frédéric,

If all QlikView services are in the same computer, you only need to open outbound and inbound ports 4747 por Desktop licenses and Plugin, and 80 for Ajax connections.

If not, this is the relation of QlikView Services and ports:

Service	Ports
QlikView Server	4747, 4774
QlikView Distribucion Service	4720
QlikView Web Server	4750, 80
QlikView Management Service	4780, 4799
QlikView Directory Service Connector	4730, 4735

thanks for your quick answer.

But even if all Qlikview services are on the same computer, don't you think i need to open port 4780 to access Management service web site remotely ?

(everything is tpc, no udp ?)

Hi Frédéric,

Yes, if you want to access remotely the QEMC you need to open the port 4780 tcp to connect. As you need to open 80 or 4747 when a computer other than the Server (the clients) want to connect using Plugin or Ajax.

I opend my ports, but i'm not able to connect to my dashboard over the internet with a brower, only via a LAN network.

With my ipad qlikview app i can connect over the internet.

How can i open it? Http://"myinternetip":port4747??? ???

if you want to see the accesspoint via your public ip use url like this Http://"myinternetip"/qlikview/index.htm.

You should get external IP for you QV accesspoint, only then you can open your accesspoint outside of VPN.
