How can I stop file being created when selecting Send Values to Excel

When right clicking on a Qlikview Object and choosing to Send Values to Excel we have found that a file is automatically created in

the C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Temp folder which remains in existence even if Excel is then closed without saving.

This is an issue for us as some of our Qlikview data must not be stored in an insecure drive (network drives are ok but local drives are not) and users may be unwittingly storing such data every time they Send Values to Excel.

Does anyone know of a way of stopping these files being created or have any ideas for an alternative solution for this issue ?

Hi Greg,

were you able to find a solution for this.

an alternative could be to copy/paste instead of "send to excel".

but would there be an option/flag for this ?
