If you get a respons back it's "a ok".

If no respons the service is dead.

The services api also offers this functionality if you need to integrate with other systems.

Does anyone know if there is a way to do a sanity check on the qlikview server service?

Something like an URL returning a service status or even through the server API.

Thanks

Hi Daniel,

I don't know it this is what you're looking for but I'm using the free version of Opmanager to monitor QV services on all my servers. This software can give all kind of alerts when services go down or have a delay in responding, as well as giving me statistics.

http://www.manageengine.com/network-monitoring/
