I downloaded the QMSEDX from the resources on the site (linked above).

2. Using this macro, I was able to run it from the access point:

sub QmsEdxCmd

          dim strTaskName

          dim strTaskPassword

          dim strServer

          dim strCommand

          strTaskName= ActiveDocument.Variables("vTask").GetContent.String

          strTaskPassword= ActiveDocument.Variables("vPassword").GetContent.String

          strServer = "http://qvpublish:4799/QMS/Service"

          strCommand = "\\qvdev\QMSEDX\qmsedx.exe -task="&strTaskName&" -qms="&strServer&" -password="&strTaskPassword

          Set WshShell = CreateObject("WScript.Shell")

          Return = WshShell.Run (strCommand,0,false)

end sub

Hope it helps

But then I changed the shared folder path with the server's local folder path:

strCommand = "\\qvdev\QMSEDX\qmsedx.exe....

to

strCommand = "c:\QMSEDX\qmsedx.exe....

and now it is working!
