Why schedule Task failed in publisher 9.0 SR3

Hi all,

I have defined several reload & publish task in publisher 9.0.

It runs succcessfully, but once or twice in a week one or two task failed. When I open management console & run the failed task then again it works successfully. I have 9.0 SR3.

sometimes I also get warning message like

1. QVS Distribution completed with success.
Distribution reported warnings for resource "Di_Invoice_ComapnyGroup_QVS_2" (QlikViewServerDistributionResource). Warnings=5
Distribution to resources reported warnings. Warnings=6
Distributing (0), Warnings (76500), Deleting temp files (76500), Next round! (76515)
The task "Di_Invoice_ComapnyGroup" finished with warnings. WarningCount=7.

2.Killing the QlikView Engine. ProcessID=3436
Closed the QlikView Engine successfully. ProcessID=3436
Initializing (0), Finished (13984)
Reload completed successfully.
The task "Reload_Publish_Invoice" finished with warnings. WarningCount=1

Please let me know anybody.

Santosh,

Are you sure the task is failing? Maybe it just shows that it failed because of the warnings...did you check the log for the days that it failed to see if there are any actual errors?

I think your tasks aren´t failing.......look the message....complete with success...

but i have same doubt......what´s the mean about that warnings??i looked the log files but i dont found any tips about it!!!

If you've checked the logfiles and there are no errors (i.e. it's just failing because of the warnings), you can try settings ErrorMode=0 to ignore all errors and report task success. This is primarily to be used if you will not be modifying your script anymore...

Initializing (0), Finished (13984)
Reload completed successfully.
The task "qvw file name" finished with warnings. WarningCount=1

could any one give the details about the warnings.....

I would like to know the reason, why this warning is came at the end of the script....

could anyone help me...

Hi All,

Me too getting the same warning. Everything is ok, data is refreshed, but i don't why this warning.

Anyone has any ideas?

Hi All,

Its nice to hear somebody also having the same issue.

As of now I have not received any workable suggestion,however from my end I have applied all the configuration(like recreated the task, QV server reinstallation & so on). I can't set errormode 0 as I keep on changing the script once/twice in a week.

It would be great if somebody come up with new solution to this concern

Hi Santosh,

Try to set the errormode=0 in the end of the script...

bcoz if any error occurs in the script it will stop the reload as our normal script execution.......

if it is not satisfied ur problem try the following one...

you can set the option SECONDSTOWAITBEFOREQVBKILL in the qds config file to the number of seconds you think is appropriate. the default is 16 which can indeed be a bit tight at times.

pls revert back whether its working or not...
