Load Multiple QVWs from one QVD

Hi,

Short quick question.

Is it possible to reload two front end QVWs from one QVD at the same time from the datamart? Does this conflict the reading process and will it create errors? For example. Orders.qvd is used for a logics app and used for a sales app and will be loading at the same timeschedule.

We have a case that a Huge QVD is serving data for 5 different dashboards and we trigger 3 qvw's on a same time. Never faced any issues.

but you may easily test this yourself as well with multiple instances.

The tehory says that you (or more precisely, QlikView) shouldn't attempt to read and write a single QVD at the same time. In those cases, the one that comes later will fail.

Multiple readers should be fine. But as Peter already suggested, better test before you draw your own conclusions.

We have a fair number of QVDs that are used in QVW reloads at the same time the most we have at a time is 6.
