unable to open qvw in Access point

Hi,

I am trying to open a qvw in access point, it showing file not found. But other qvw in access point am able to open.

I am using shared folder path in qvw. Any idea?

Check you have access to that file and in QMC check all authenticated users.

Hi there,

The first thing to check is your AD security settings on the file - does the user you are logged in have permissions. After that ensure that there is not Section Access on the file that may be stopping it showing. Another thing that can be missed it the category drop down at the top left - ensure this is set to All to view all documents.

It can sometimes help to create a new document in the same folder as the one that is not showing to see if that appears - to try and identify if it is an issue with the document or the folder permissions.

If you are using token access you will need to set the Authorization against the Document in QMC - setting the drop down to All Authenticated Users.

I checked i have all the permissions, no section access. I tried to recreate the file, its opening now but showing error when i try create pdf in qvw

Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.

It was not the case before and fine till today morning. I could not find All authenticated users in QMC.

Goto Documents Tab in QMC -> Select Document under user documents.

In right side pane, you could to see Authorization tab. "Users Authorized to Access Document"

What method are you using to create the PDF? Is this from the Select Report drop down menu at the top of the page in Access Point?

I am using pdf creator to generate pdf. It was working fine for me from access point. Now i am not to open qvw within the server. I cant open only this file,Others am able to open. I have full permission for this file.

When you open a QlikView document via Access Point you should see a drop down box with reports in, from which you can download PDFs. Is this working for you?

If it is from Publisher that the PDF creation is not working then it may be because the user account that you have set up for the Distribution Service does not have the rights required to access the document?

Am not able to find. But now file is not opening in server as well. Check error in attache file.

That can sometimes be connectivity between the client and the server on Port 80 or 4747. It's strange that it would have changed from previous though. Do you get the same issue if you RDP to the server and then open the document in the browser there?

I have created users in server, when access from internet outside the server it will pop up for credentials.From QMC am not published to specific user

i restarted the server, now its fine in server. Also file is opening in my local but i have used shared path in my qvw. This is throwing error when i try to access.

Hej Sivaraj,please file a bug with support.
there seems to be a url encoding issue in your setup as you go through the tunneler.

I dint do. My issue got resolved. I cant predict what exactly the problem was, but seems like security issue at server level.Our network guys did the some update (not related to this issue) in server, after i tried and it was working.
