    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This is indeed the solution, also for windows 8.1.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But why is it so slow?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have a access office xp database, which I can't change because it is being used by an other program.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;From that database I need to read at every reload, a table which has around 75000 lines and growing.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In an earlier version of windows (XP pro) combined with office 2010, my QV app was running like a rocket.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Now I'm using windows 8.1 pro and office 2013 and the app is running as a hot air balloon when there is no wind.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Anyone a solution?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Dirk&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

I am on Windows 8.1 64bit with Office 2013 365.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I downloaded and installed "Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010" from Microsoft.com. After the installation the accdb option appeared when trying to add odbc for accdb..&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Lambert.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

Microsoft stopped providing the X64 drivers in the OS a while back. The only want to get them is to install Office X64 on your machines or&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13255" title="http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13255"&gt;Download Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable from Official Microsoft Download Center&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Not sure if this will work with Windows 8.1&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
