We are using Qlikview 11.2 server and publisher. For the backend we are using sql server data warehouse. The problem is sometimes tables reload function is failed, so the qlikview reports will show the old data. we want to start the task in QMC once the jobs in DW successfully completed.

we saw an option External Event in Trigger Section. Can we use that option? If so could please some one tell us how to use that?

Thanks

Hi.

Yes, you can use EDX for that purpose:

Using EDX in QlikView 11 - basic example

Keep in mind that you have to set up user rights, so that the automation account that is used in DW can execute EDX tasks on QV server.
