Security - Opening a model

Hi,

I am new in setting up security in qlikview, I have managed to use Load * INLINE to select username and password, but I cant use the data I have loaded from excel file as Username and Password, please help... Please see the attached file for the example I was trying to do.

Username: Admin

Password: 1

I want to use the data I have on the excel file to open the file.

Edzi, in your excel file in the column ACCESS you need to write either USER or ADMIN (upper case)

Access	UserID	Password
ADMIN	Edzisani	Edzisani
USER	Arina	Arina
USER	Tondani	Tondani
USER	Mpho	Mpho

I have changed the values, but I still only can use Username-Admin and Password-1, But when I try to use the values from the excel file is not working.

The problem is the fild name in your excel file. Make everything upper case (The name of the field)

ACCESS	USERID	PASSWORD
ADMIN	Edzisani	Edzisani
USER	Arina	Arina
USER	Tondani	Tondani
USER	Mpho	Mpho

Reload and try. For me it's working fine

I have a question again, how do you make certain user only see certain Sheets, not doing data reduction but reducing using Sheets.
